Connect the measurement

Your sensor.
Your application.

Take readings into a PC application, connect through an EMD Utility gateway, or integrate over CAN FD.

01 / Wireless data

BLE, ready for integration.

Read pressure and water temperature, adjust reporting and access calibration through the BLE services. The datasheet includes the service map and data format for developers.

02 / Gateway support

Bring sensors together.

The EMD Utility gateway receives sensor readings over BLE and passes them to a connected application. Talk to us about the right gateway arrangement for your installation.

03 / Wired data

CAN FD connectivity.

Use the M12 electrical connection for a wired data path alongside power. Discuss your CAN integration requirements with our team.

Security & cyber resilience

Trust the connection.
Verify the device.

Protection for your readings, confidence in sensor identity and control over firmware updates. Security is part of the product from connection to production.

01 / Protect the data

Encrypted BLE communication.

Bluetooth LE Secure Connections pairing and 128-bit link encryption protect measurement and configuration communication.

02 / Verify the sensor

Signed device identity.

Provisioned sensors carry a signed device credential. A fresh challenge lets a compatible receiver verify the sensor’s identity and possession of its device key.

03 / Protect the firmware

Signed firmware updates.

Compatible firmware checks signed images before accepting an update. Updates use an encrypted BLE connection, helping protect the software running on the sensor.

04 / Keep a clear record

Traceable manufacturing.

Manufacturing records link each unit to its firmware, configuration, calibration and provisioned identity, supporting commissioning and service.

EU Cyber Resilience Act

Working towards CRA conformity.

Our security architecture and traceable release process provide a foundation for the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). Our compliance roadmap covers product risk assessment, vulnerability handling, security support information and conformity documentation.

Device identity verification uses provisioned units and compatible receivers. Signed updates depend on the supplied firmware. Discuss the security configuration and compliance requirements for your application with our team.

A few useful answers

Before you
connect.

Is the sensor completely wireless?

BLE carries data wirelessly. The sensor still needs an external regulated DC supply through its M12 connector: 5 V nominal, within the 4.5–5.5 V operating range.

Does it measure water temperature?

Yes. A dedicated probe extends into the water and measures water temperature alongside pressure.

How do I receive the readings?

Use a compatible BLE receiver with your PC application, an EMD Utility gateway, or a wired CAN FD connection. The datasheet documents the BLE services and reading format; contact us to discuss your setup.

Which cable connector do I need?

A five-pin, A-coded M12 female cable connector mates with the sensor’s male connector. Phoenix Contact 1662968 is one example, with screw terminals for a 4–6 mm cable. Follow the sensor pinout in the datasheet when wiring it.

Which pressure range is available?

The current sensor measures 0–16 bar with complete-sensor accuracy within ±0.1 bar. Tell us about your application so we can help you check the fit.
